Tulips in Our Little Keukenhof

I just noticed that the day is getting longer now. Last December, between 3-4 PM, it was already getting dark. Today, at around 5PM, we still had a bit daylight. It means that the next season is coming soon. I can't wait for the next spring time to see the little Keukehof in our garden. If you don't have any idea what and where is Keukenhof, continue reading below.

Keukenhof, literally means Kitchen garden, also known as the Garden of Europe, is situated near Lisse, Netherlands, and is the world's largest flower garden. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares.

See below the tulips from our garden.

I love these flowers. I can't wait to see them again this spring time!

I would like to bury my nose in either of those beauties--provided, of course, that no bee was visiting!

Tonight, my dear, I’m seeing red—
Or is it puce or rose?
Whatever’s going round my head
Is tingling all my toes.

My heart, my dear, becomes inflamed
With passion sore ablaze;
Perhaps it is because I miss
Your glowing, crimson gaze.

Whate’er the cause, my face is flushed
Like a ripened cherry,
No longer healthy, but inflamed—
See the vessels serry*?

A certain sanguine aftertaste
Is clinging to my tongue,
For I have kissed your ruby lips—
To which the claret clung.

*serry – (archaic) to crowd closely together
